Arnel went on to spend two years sleeping on the streets. He slept wherever he could in parks, on tiny benches that were outside of crowded homes. He gathered newspapers and glass bottles and then sold them to recyclers. Arnel also did odd jobs, like docking ships, and cleaning scrap metal. Arnel is married to Cherry Pineda. The couple got married in 2001. The couple have two kids together A daughter (Theachenelle Pineda), and a boy (Cherub). Arnel also has Matthew and Angelo who are his older sons.
